About the Business
Simon Langford (Harbour Yachts' founder and director) started sailing from a very young age during annual family holidays at the beautiful Ringstead Bay on Dorset's jurassic coastline. The open bay is a wonderful location for sailing, kayaking, water-skiing and fishing, and was a great place to get a taste for boating.
Simon joined the Royal Navy cadets at secondary school in Berkshire and sailed in the school's sailing club. He studied for a Degree in Electronic Engineering just along the coast at the University of Southampton and then spent 20 years in industry working firstly as a Communications Scientist for a large Government department, and later as a Project Manager for a succesful digital TV software company in Bristol.
